KEARNEY – Despite a physical start, the Kearney Boys Soccer team handled Omaha Buena Vista, continuing their shutout streak and earning a home victory at UNK Saturday afternoon 6-0. Click here to listen to the broadcast replay.

Kearney (5-0) took control early, finding a score from senior Jhordy Solares (6′) and freshman Brayden Bersten (23′) to lead 2-0 heading into halftime.
The Bearcats immediately took control in the second half, added three goals in less then ten minutes from Colt Straka (43′), Lucas Crittenden (46′), and Straka again (47′).
A final score by Dawson Schwarz (73′) sealed Buena Vista’s fate, completing the 6-0 victory for the Bearcats. Kearney has now shutout opponents in four consecutive contests.
The Kearney boys host Lincoln North Star at home Monday evening, with opening kick set for 7:30 PM from Kearney High School.
