WOOD RIVER – The Kearney Catholic Stars Boys Golf team claimed the top two individual spots in Tuesday’s Wood River Invite, shooting a team total of 332 and earning the victory over Adams Central by thirteen strokes.
Quinten Hogeland shot 78 to earn the overall champion, edging past Star teammate Alex Ables (80). Adams Central took third and fourth from Decker Shestak (82) and Brayden Underwood (83) while Kearney Catholic’s Nash Malone (83) ended in fifth.
The Stars wrapped with five players finishing in the top twelve.
