KEARNEY – The Tri-City Storm is set for a road showdown with the Sioux City Musketeers tonight at the Tyson Events Center. The Storm will play back-to-back road games this weekend before returning home for a two-game series next weekend against the Des Moines Buccaneers. Tonight’s road game is the final meeting of the regular season between the Storm and Musketeers. Puck drop for the matchup is scheduled for 7:05pm CT.

Tri-City (32-18-3-3) enters tonight’s road game against Sioux City on a three-game winning streak. The Storm has posted a 7-2-1-0 record over the past ten games, and defeated the Omaha Lancers by a final score of 3-1 Tuesday at the Viaero Center. Jake Richard and Sebastian Törnqvist netted goals during the 1st period to give Tri-City a multiple-goal lead in the matchup. Trevor Connelly scored an empty-net goal with just over a minute to play in the 3rd period to seal the victory for the Storm. Connelly’s point broke a tie with former Storm forward Brian Ward (2012-2013) for the organization’s all-time record for consecutive games with at least one point. He has now recorded at least one point in eighteen consecutive games, and is the only player in the league this season to reach this milestone. Scoring leaders for Tri-City entering tonight’s road game at the Tyson Events Center include Jake Richard (31), Trevor Connelly (21), Graham Gamache (19), Evan Werner (17), and Kieran Cebrian (16). This weekend’s road series for the Storm will be the team’s final multiple-game road series of the 2022-2023 regular season. Tri-City will battle the Sioux Falls Stampede tomorrow night at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. Puck drop for tomorrow night’s game is set for 6:05pm CT. The Storm will play one additional road game on Friday, April 21st at the Ice Box in a matchup with the Lincoln Stars.

Sioux City (26-25-2-3) has posted a 6-4-0-0 record over the last ten games entering tonight’s showdown with Tri-City at the Tyson Events Center. The Musketeers’ magic number to clinch a spot in the 2023 Clark Cup Playoffs currently stands at five. Sioux City defeated the Waterloo Black Hawks by a final score of 3-2 Sunday evening at the Tyson Events Center in the team’s most recent game. Grant Slukynsky (2), and Sam Deckhut scored in the victory for the Musketeers. Sioux City has posted a 3-3-0-1 record in head-to-head games played against Tri-City this season. Scoring leaders for the Musketeers entering tonight’s home game against the Storm include Ryan Conmy (30), Grant Slukynsky (18), Tyler Hotson (15), Kaden Sahan (15), and Ben Poitras (14). Sioux City will play three consecutive road games following tonight’s game against Tri-City before completing the regular season with a two-game home series against the Omaha Lancers on Friday, April 21st, and Saturday, April 22nd.
