A Garfield County fire is now contained after destroying 4 structures and injuring 2.

According to the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency, the fire was located 15 miles north of Burwell.

It’s estimated to have burned 6000 acres, but is now in the MOP up stage.

The Lowry fire was just one of several fires that firefighters across the state responded to due to Tuesday’s dry windy conditions.

Fire departments in Cherry, Garfield, Jefferson, Lincoln, Rock, and Wheeler counties responded to wildfires.
