KEARNEY – The Kearney Bearcats looked like they had won their second home game of the season Friday evening, having Kaleb Larson trot down the third base line in what appeared to be a game winning end. Instead, an out corralled at first base pushed the game to extra innings, and Fremont’s Brandt Phillips knocked out a home run over the right field wall at Memorial Field to down Kearney 3-2. Fremont exacted revenge from their loss on Tuesday to Kearney, having been trumped 12-1 in the HAC Tournament Consolation contest at Den Hartog Field in Lincoln.
