KEARNEY – The Bearcats ended 2-0 on the day in their home triangular, finishing Omaha South 16-0 in Game One then pushing past Norfolk 7-3 in the final contest. Click here to listen to the broadcast replay.
Kearney (9-11) won with seven runs on nine hits and two errors while Norfolk dropped with three runs off of eleven hits and no errors.
The Bearcats pulled away in the third inning with three runs scored. Nolan Smith had a sac fly while Bryce Andersen adding an RBI Single and Beau Skala hit into a fielder’s choice for another run.
Kearney added three more runs in the sixth inning, as Bryce Andersen earned the win on the mound for the Bearcats. The lefthander allowed two runs on eight hits, striking out seven.
