KEARNEY – The Bearcat Baseball team shut out Omaha South in the opening game of the Memorial Field triangular in Kearney Saturday afternoon, winning in five innings 16-0.
Kearney (8-11) won with sixteen runs off of five hits and three errors. Omaha South had no runs on three hits and three errors.
Rhett Mundorf and Quinn Foster were on the mound for the Bearcats, as Foster earns the victory and the start with five strikeouts. Mundorf struck out two.
The Bearcats put up ten runs in the first inning, having big bats by Nolan Smith, Bryce Andersen, Karter Lee, and Griffin Novacek. Lee had a 3 RBI triple in first.
