A Kimball woman was arrested following a pursuit Thursday.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol on May 4 at 9:10 p.m. a westbound Infiniti G37 was seen driving 117 miles per hour on Interstate 80 near Odessa.
A trooper attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the driver refused to yield. A pursuit was initiated.
The suspected vehicle continued westbound reaching speed up to 140 miles per hour. Another trooper successfully deployed stop sticks.
The vehicle then slowed down, driving into a north ditch and coming to a stop near Lexington.
The driver refused to exit the vehicle for seven minutes.
The driver, Rebecca Brown, 46, eventually exited the vehicle and was taken into custody.
Brown was arrested for flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, obstructing a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, and several traffic violations. She was lodged in Dawson County Jail.
The Lexington Police Department and Dawson County Sheriff’s Office assisted in this incident.
