Nebraska state patrol arrested a California man following a fatal crash in Sidney.
According to NSP the crash happened Friday, at 4:40 p.m. MT on intersection Link 17-J and Old Post Road in Sidney.
A trooper was alerted to the crash by a passerby.
A preliminary investigation found an eastbound Nissan Maxima on Old Post Road was struck by northbound semi traveling on Link 17J.
The semi ran a red light on the intersection.
A passenger of the Nissan, Lori Wiens, 48, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Two 16-year-old girls were transported for non-life-threatening injuries to Sidney Regional Hospital.
The driver of the semi, Gurjeet Singh, 25, of Fresno, California was arrested for motor vehicle homicide and willful reckless driving.
He was lodged in Cheyenne County Jail.
