The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is hosting a Community Fishing Event this evening at Mormon Island State Recreation Area in Grand Island.
Participants who have or have never fished before are welcome to come out and fish. Bait and loaner equipment will be provided free of cost.
Certified fishing instructors will also be available on site.
The event runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lake #1.
Those age 16 years and older must have a fishing license.
