KPS summer meal program offers free breakfast and lunch

Kearney Public Schools Bearcat Diner will be providing free breakfast and lunch as part of its summer meal program.

Those 18 years and younger can receive a free breakfast and lunch without income requirements or registration needed.

The program will run from June 5th to July 21st, Monday through Friday.

Breakfast will be served from 7:45 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Bright Futures Preschool and Central Elementary School.

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Bright Futures Preschool, Central Elementary School, and Kenwood Elementary School.

• Central Elementary:  300 West 24^th Street
• Kenwood Elementary:  915 16^th Avenue

Kearney Public Schools’ Bearcat Diner recognizes the importance of proper nutrition for the growth and development of children, even outside of the regular academic year. By offering free breakfast and lunch throughout the summer, the program aims to ensure that no child in the community goes hungry.
