Grand Island Police Department has concluded its nearly two-month-long investigation into Monument Advisors in Grand Island and forwarded 37 of 59 reported incidents to the Hall County Attorney’s Office.
In these instances, the investigation found that the owner of Monument Advisors, 45-year-old Kelli Lepler used deceptive practices to gain business from customers, with no intention to fulfill orders.
GIPD believes this constitutes 33 charges of Felony Theft by Deception, and 4 misdemeanor counts of theft by deception, totaling over $200,000 in loss by victims.
The Attorney’s office will review the findings of the investigation, and determine to issue a criminal complaint to the courts for the incidents.
