LINCOLN – University of Nebraska System President Ted Carter will now assume UNL’s seat on the Big Ten Council of Presidents and Chancellors, which is the board that oversees the policies, budget, operations and commissioner of the Big Ten Conference.
The move was part of a greater motion during Thursday’s Board of Regents meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
This move officially seats Carter as the new direct supervisor of athletic director Trev Alberts. Carter and Alberts worked together in the hiring of head football coach Matt Rhule last fall.
