A Lexington Man has been sentenced to over 10 years for drug trafficking.
29-year-old Melecio Meza-Salamanca was sentenced to 12 years in prison on charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug crime.
Following his sentence, Salamanca will serve a 5 year supervised release. In October of 2021, a Merrick County sheriff stopped Salamanca.
During the traffic stop, the deputy searched the vehicle, locating a pistol and 180 grams of methamphetamine.
