MADRID, SPAIN – Jessica Petrie scored 10 points and added six rebounds to help Australia to an 85-45 win over Argentina in the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup in Madrid, Spain on Sunday.

Petrie, a 6-2 forward from Gold Coast, Australia, hit 4-of-10 shots from field, including a pair of three-pointers, while adding three assists, a blocked shot and a steal in nearly 17 minutes of action off the bench. Through two games in Madrid, Petrie is averaging 6.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 block and 1.0 steal.

The incoming freshman to the Nebraska women’s basketball team helped Australia improve to 1-1 in Group A play heading into Tuesday’s match-up with France. Tip-off on Tuesday is set for 1:45 p.m. (CT).

France slipped to 1-1, as home-standing Spain improved to 2-0 with a 72-59 victory over the French. Argentina fell to 0-2.
