NORTH PLATTE – The POST 52 Kearney Juniors continued on their season with a win over the North Platte Juniors, taking the victory 9-1 at Bill Wood Field Sunday evening.
Kearney (25-16) won scoring nine runs with five hits and one error, while North Platte fell scoring one run on two hits with four errors.
Kearney was on the board first in the bottom of the third after Tyson Cabela singled scoring one run, while Rydge Jackson hit a sac fly that added two runs, and Dominc Nowak singled adding another run.
POST 52 would also add scores from a Chase Bentz single scoring two runs, Draden Reidy doubling for two runs, and a fielder’s choice adding another score.
Keaton Wemhoff earned the win for Kearney giving up two hits and one run over five innings, striking out six and walking five.
The POST 52 Juniors now face the Hastings Juniors at Bill Wood Field at 4 PM on Monday.
