A former Trenton woman was sentenced on methamphetamine charges.

In federal court Tuesday, Shanda Daniels, 35, was sentenced to 60 months’ imprisonment for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 5 grams or more of actual methamphetamine. Following her release, Daniel will serve a 5-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.

On May 14, 2019, a confidential informant (CI) arranged and traveled to Daniels residence in Trneton to purchase one ounce of methamphetamine. The CI entered the house and contacted Daniels and an unknown male, later identified as Westleigh Miesner.  Miesner weighed out the methamphetamine.  The lab results showed 13 grams of actual methamphetamine.

On December 2, 2022, Miesner was sentenced to 66 months’ imprisonment, followed by four years of supervised release.

This case was investigated by the FBI.
