Beginning today, interstate 80 between the Lexington and Cozad exit will be transitioning to two-lane head on traffic.
Traffic between both exits will be reduce to a single lane both ways on eastbound lanes.
Westbound traffic will utilize a median crossover to enter the eastbound lanes.
An 11-foot width restriction will be in effect and the speed limit will be reduced to 65 mph.
The traffic transition is for required pavement replacement in the westbound lanes.
The transition is expected to remain in effect until late October of this year.
