The Kearney Police Department is participating in the 40th Annual National Night Out this week.
On Tuesday, August 1, members of the community have an opportunity to talk about get to know their local law enforcement officials.
KPD will be holding their Night Out at Harmon Park in Kearney, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be inflatables, food & drinks, K-9 and drone demos, live music and more.
The Hastings Police Department will be hosting their Night Out at Chautauqua Park in Hastings from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Activities include a BBQ, K-9 and drone demos, games and police vehicles.
National Nite Out is a nationwide annual community event that promotes police-community partnership and builds camaraderie and safer neighborhoods.
