Governor Jim Pillen will be deploying more than 60 Nebraska Army National Guard soldiers to Texas this week for Operation Lone Star.
The solders’ departure is scheduled for Wednesday, August 2nd, and will return in September.
While in Texas, the soldiers will provide additional observation and reporting near the border, which will assist various agencies conducting security and law enforcement efforts.
