The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office and Hall County Sheriff’s Office just concluded their speed prevention campaign.

The effort ran from July 10 to July 31 and was made possible from a grant, awarded to both agencies, from the NDOT Highway Safety Office.

Over the course of the campaign, BCSO deputies had a total of 66 speed related traffic contacts. Deputies issued 30 citations for traffic violations and issued 36 warnings. Additionally, three arrests were made for driving under suspension, one citation issued for careless driving and another for willful reckless driving due to excessive speed.

HCSO deputies issued 22 citations for speeding violations, and 22 warnings for speeding. One arrest made for DUI, and one another for DDS. The campaign resulted in 62 traffic contacts for the HCSO.
