The Kearney Utilities Department will be doing water main work today.
Starting at 9:30am today, the Utilities Department will be doing water main work on the outside eastbound lanes of 39th street at 7th avenue.
In addition, water main work will also be happening in G Avenue, north of 25th Street. The roadway will be closed from 25th Street north approximately 50-feet. Access to the parking lots of Eastowne Plaza and Ponderosa Mall will remain from the north during construction.
Both areas will be closed and reopened completely by 4 p.m. Wednesday August 16, weather and construction permitting.
Motorists are asked to use caution in the area and to watch for construction workers and equipment. If an alternate route is possible, we recommend that motorists use the alternateroute.
