KEARNEY — Kearney Rescue Cats is hosting a Luminary Night on Friday, Sept. 8 at Harmon Park.
The event will be running from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the park.
Join the group for hot dogs, a “Cat Walk,” bake sale and raffle, crafts, music, games, animal items for sale, information about pets and adoptable cats.
To honor a pet that has passed away, $5 luminary bags will be available, they can be purchased at the Kearney Rescue Cats Facebook page prior to the event or can be bought Friday night at the park.
Kearney Rescue Cats state that 100 percent of the donations from the bags will go toward fixing and vetting cats in the Kearney area.
The group thanks their sponsors, Cottonwood Veterinary Clinic, West Villa Animal Hospital, Beebout Veterinary Medical Center, Riverside Animal Hospital, Kearney Area Animal Shelter and PetSmart.
