Kearney's Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)
KEARNEY — Two juveniles escaped from the Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center in Kearney early Thursday morning, both were located by the Kearney Police Department.
Kearney Police were dispatched at 6:43 p.m. for the report of the two escapees, according to Lt. Derek Luke. The first juvenile was located quickly at 6:56 a.m.
Later, around 8 a.m., Kearney Police noted on social media that they were searching for the other juvenile in the area of 35th and Country Club Rd.
At 9:46 a.m., Kearney Police indicated that a 16-year-old black male had still not been located and was last seen in the 2700 block of W. 27th St. earlier in the morning.
The 16-year-old was later located at 1:15 p.m., Lt. Luke said.
