HUSKER FOOTBALL AIMS FOR FIRST WIN OF RHULE ERA:

The Huskers are looking to get things right after an 0-2 start and will enter the non-conference game against the Huskies (1-1) as double-digit favorites and a low point total expected.

Kickoff is set for 6 PM with pregame coverage on KGFW set to start at 2 PM. Hear the game on KGFW and on HITS 106-KQKY with pregame at 5:15 PM.

BEARCAT FOOTBALL WINS OVER BELLEVUE WEST:

The Bearcat Football team kicked a late field goal with less than two minutes remaining to take down Bellevue West 16-14 at Foster Field. 

The win improves Kearney to 4-0 on the year.

STARS DOMINATE AT MILFORD:

Kearney Catholic used a solid second half to pull away from Milford 24-6 on the road. The Stars are now 3-1 on the season.

LOPER VOLLEYBALL SWEPT IN TOPEKA:

The 15th-ranked Washburn Ichabods hit .307 and dug up 66 balls to sweep seventh-ranked Nebraska Kearney Friday night in Topeka.

The ‘Bods improve to 7-1 (1-0) and down the Lopers (9-1, 0-1) for a sixth straight time.

The Lopers head to Emporia State on Saturday afternoon. The Hornets (7-2, 1-0) swept Fort Hays State on Friday night.
