SEWARD, NE – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) announced their conference players of the week on Tuesday, as a former Kearney Bearcat earned recognition for her prowess for the Concordia Bulldogs.
Kierstynn Garner of Concordia University is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Garner, a sophomore from Kearney, Nebraska, produced a combined three goals and an assist on the week as the Bulldogs won twice in blowout fashion, 4-0 over Dordt and 8-0 over Northwestern. Garner is currently the GPAC co-leader with nine goals on the season (tied with teammate Savannah Andrews).
Garner lettered all four years as a Bearcat and graduated in 2021 helping the Bearcat soccer team to a conference title and state tournament appearance.
