
NEBRASKA – The 2023-24 District Wrestling assignments were released by the NSAA on Monday.
Classes A through D received their district assignments, as schools competing in each district will have their final chance to earn a spot at the state wrestling tournament at their district meet in February.
Area teams boys district assignments include: Class A’s Kearney placed in the A-2 District while Grand Island was put in the A-3 District.
In Class B, Lexington and McCook are set in the B-1 District. York was placed in the B-2 District, while Northwest is in B-3. Adams Central, Aurora, Cozad, Hastings, and Holdrege are all assigned to the B-4 District.
Class C has Central City in the C-1 District. Centura and St. Paul are in the C-2 District. In the C-3 District, Doniphan-Trumbull, GICC, and Wood River will all compete. In the C-4 District at Broken Bow High School, Amherst, Broken Bow, Gibbon, Gothenburg, Hi-Line, Kearney Catholic, Minden, and Ord will all be in action.
Finally in Class D Anselmo-Merna, Bertrand, Elm Creek, Ravenna, Shelton, South Loup, and Southern Valley all are placed in the D-1 District. D-2 includes Ansley-Litchfield, Axtell, Burwell, Central Valley, Hastings St. Cecelia, Loomis, Overton, and Wilcox-Hildreth. The D-3 District has Alma, Arapahoe, Pleasanton, Sumner-Eddyville-Miller, and Twin River.

For the girls assignments, in District A-1 schools include: Axtell, Central City, Centura, Doniphan-Trumbull, Gibbon, GICC, Kenesaw, Shelton, St. Paul, and Wilcox-Hildreth. For District A-2 at York, schools include Adams Central, Amherst, Ansley-Litchfield, Central Valley, Northwest, Ord, and York. In the District A-3 at Aurora, Aurora, Kearney, and Wood River will compete. Finally in the A-4 District at Broken Bow, Anselmo-Merna, Bertrand, Gothenburg, Grand Island, Hi-Line, Lexington, Loomis, Minden, Overton, South Loup, Southern Valley, and SEM will be in action.
