GRAND ISLAND — Officers with the Grand Island Police Department followed a fluid trail to the home of a driver who had failed to stop at the scene of an injury accident on Tuesday, Nov. 14.

According to officers, around 10:34 p.m., David Liebsack was driving southbound on Cleburn Street and struck the rear of a parked vehicle. He failed to stop and furnish his information, instead continuing to drive toward his home.

At the intersection of 15th and Eddy St., Liebsack struck and tree and then proceeded to his residence and parked his driveway.

Officers were able to follow the fluid trail from the scene of the accident to Liebsack’s home, where they located him and his vehicle.

There was blood on the driver’s seat of Liebsack’s vehicle, and he was bleeding from his left arm.

Officers cited Liebsack for leaving the scene of an injury accident.
