Interstate 80 is closed to traffic due to white out conditions.
“I-80 is currently closed both directions between Grand Island and Lexington. Weather conditions are expected to deteriorate throughout the evening across the state,” per the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
The Nebraska State Patrol reported that whiteout conditions are occurring. Drivers are asked to park and wait out the dangerous weather conditions.
