OMAHA, NE – Omaha native Preston Love announced his candidacy Wednesday to run for the 2024 U.S. Senate.
Love is running as Democrat for the seat, challenging Sen. Ricketts, who is also running to complete his term. Love previously ran for Senate in 2020 as write-in candidate.
In his campaign press release, Love stated “I’m running for Senate to put people over politics. It’s time for leadership that works to bridge the economic, partisan, geographic, and racial gaps that are growing in our country and our state. I’m ready to represent all Nebraskans – not just the ones who agree with me or look like me.”
Love has already been endorsed by several Nebraska elected officials including Douglas County Treasurer John Ewing, State Senator Terrell McKinney, State Senator Megan Hunt, and State Senator Tony Vargas.
