GRAND ISLAND — Two Grand Island men were arrested after robbery after one of them threatened a resident with a firearm and stole numerous items on Sunday, Jan. 21.
At 9:10 p.m., officers with the Grand Island Police Department were dispatched to 651 Groff Street in reference to an assault.
The reporting party, a 21-year-old male, advised that three males wearing black hoodies, one was also wearing a black bandana, entered his home.
The male wearing the black bandana would point and threaten the reporting party with a small silver handgun. The men would then forcefully take a speaker, silver chains and clothes and then leave the house.
Police say the reporting party was able to identify one of the males as Imer Yair Cabrera and the other only as Carlos. They were also able to identify a neck and hand tattoo on Cabrera.
Officers would relocate Cabrera’s last know address and contact a male wearing a black sweatshirt who would identify himself through is Nebraska identification card as Carols Bejarano-Rodriguez.
Bejarano-Rodriguez would then bring Cabera to the door, where officers said they both denied leaving their home and did not provide any other information.
Officers also observed a neck and hand tattoo on Cabrera.
Cabrera was arrested for robbery and use of a firearm to commit a felony, Bejarano-Rodriguez was arrested for robbery.
