KEARNEY – One of the best traditions in Central Nebraska wrestling continues tonight as the Kearney Bearcat wrestling program welcomes the Northwest Vikings to their ChAt Auditorium for a dual on the stage.
Last week, Kearney hosted their ‘Singlet Night’ in the high school gym, falling to the Discoverers in boys wrestling action but taking down the girls in a tie-breaker victory. The Kearney boys are 15-4 in dual action this season, having went 4-1 last weekend at the Younes Hospitality Duals (formerly known as the Midwest Duals) at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds.
Northwest is 7-3 in boys wrestling duals this season, having lost to O’Neill on Monday night 41-39.
Tonight, Kearney’s girls and boys will again be in action with junior varsity competition starting at 5:30 PM. Girls varsity wrestling starts at 6 PM with the boys varsity anticipated to start at 7 PM.
