Chubba Purdy, Nebraska Football v. Iowa 2023 // Corbey Dorsey

NEVADA – Former Nebraska quarterback Chubba Purdy once again entered the transfer portal – the third time in his career and second time in a few weeks – finally finding his new home in college football with the Nevada Wolf Pack.

Purdy was a spot-starter for the Huskers in his two years with the program after transferring in from Florida State prior to the 2022 season under former head coach Scott Frost. Under Matt Rhule, Purdy started the final two games of the regular season, both losses to Wisconsin and Iowa. The younger brother of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock, however, had the two highest quarterback yardage ouputs for Nebraska this season.

Purdy had originally announced his transfer intentions to San Jose State, playing in the South Bay near his older brother. His plans pivoted after coach Brent Brennan departed the program to take the head coaching position at Arizona.
