LAS VEGAS – A Super Bowl rematch four years in the making.
The Kansas City Chiefs – the third overall seed in the AFC Conference – took down the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday evening to earn their fourth trip to the Super Bowl in five seasons, setting up a rematch with the NFC’s top seeded San Francisco 49ers.
Kansas City claimed their first Super Bowl of this generation with a 31-20 win over the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV. This iteration features a new Bay Area golden boy at quarterback, as Iowa State’s Brock Purdy leads this year’s squad.
The 49ers worked themselves into the big game with a monumental comeback over the Detroit Lions with a 34-27 win at home Sunday night.
Super Bowl Sunday is slated for Sunday, Feb. 11 from Las Vegas, Nevada.
