ALDA — Crane Trust Nature and Visitor Center at the Interstate 80 Alda interchange (Exit 305) offers a speakers series in March.
Speakers or events are:
- 2 p.m. Friday, March 8: Film Showing: “Under the Wire,” with Mariah Lundgren, Platte Basin Timelapse.
- 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9: “Record-breaking Whooping Cranes,” with Rick Rasmussen, photographer.
- 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9: “Diverse Wetlands of Nebraska” with Ted LaGrange, Wetland Program Manager.
- 1 p.m. Sunday, March 10: “Everyday Birding” with Colleen Childers, photographer.
- 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10: “Cranes in the Dark,” with Kylee Warren.
- 2 p.m. Friday, March 15: “Conservation Lessons from Roosevelt,” with Ben Wheeler, wildlife biologist.
- 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 16: Art Show and Sale. Artist demonstrations, live music, food, and more.
- 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17, “Poetry Workshop and Reading,” with Matt Mason, Nebraska State Poet.
- 2 p.m. March 23 and 2 p.m. March 24: “Raptor Recovery” with Deb Miller, Edgerton Explorit, and live birds.
