Trius Federal Credit Union opens Grand Island branch

GRAND ISLAND — Trius Federal Credit Union is excited to announce the opening of their new branch in Grand Island at 939 South Locust Street.

“We are thrilled to open this new location in Grand Island and expand our presence in Central Nebraska,” said Dee Schriner, President, and CEO of Trius FCU. “Trius is committed to helping people wherever they may be on their financial journey, as a non-profit credit union we want to offer financial solutions that work for our members and the credit union.”

This new location will offer personal financial services including savings and checking accounts, share certificates, IRA accounts, mortgages, home equity loans, auto loans, personal loans, credit cards and financial education along with online and mobile banking. The branch features the latest banking technology and the first financial institution to introduce it to central Nebraska.

“Trius is committed to evolving with technology and are happy to offer these new options to our members hopefully making things faster and easier for everyone,” said Schriner. “We want to offer our members the best service possible, and we believe
these technology advancements will do just that.”

The branch will be open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. Branch manager Sarah Chevez will be leading the team in Grand Island. “I am so thrilled to be opening the Grand Island branch and can’t wait to share the Trius difference with all the patrons of Grand Island,” said Chavez.

Trius Federal Credit Union was founded in 1967 on the campus of Kearney State College with fifty-five members. Today the membership has expanded to include anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Adams, Buffalo, Custer, Dawson, Franklin, Frontier, Furnas, Gosper, Greeley, Hall, Harlan, Hayes, Hitchcock, Howard, Kearney, Lincoln, Logan, McPherson, Phelps, Red Willow, Sherman, Valley and Webster counites.

We have three branches in Grand Island, Kearney and Lexington. As a credit union we operate as a not-for-profit financial institution, completely owned by its members. We are structured for the financial benefit of our members and dedicated to providing financial learning and service to our communities.
