GRAND ISLAND — A Grand Island woman was arrested for allegedly pushing her 70-year-old mother to the ground which resulted in a broken arm.
On Saturday, April 6, at 10:49 a.m., officers with the Grand Island Police Department responded to a residence on Darr Ave. in reference to a possible assault.
A 70-year-old woman advised that her adult daughter, Rosa Cruz-Fuentes, pushed her down from behind, causing her to fall to the ground and break her arm.
The woman advised that she did not want to press charges in the matter and did not want officers to contact Cruz-Fuentes in the matter.
On Sunday, April 7, a follow up interview in reference to the incident was conducted. Cruz-Fuentes was contacted but did not wish to speak with officers about the matter.
Due to the injury that her mother sustained, Cruz-Fuentes was arrested for first degree assault and booked into the Hall County Department of Corrections.
