HASTINGS — The Hastings Police Department and 911 Center experienced a power outage after a vehicle struck a utility pole in the community.
According to Hastings Utilities, six electrical distribution personnel have been dispatched to restore power in the area between Burlington and Baltimore Avenues and A St. to 6th St.
The outage began around 9:30 a.m. after a vehicle struck a utility pole. Power had been rerouted and restored to some of the effected area by 10:20 a.m.
The Hastings Police Department and 911 center were affected by the power outage and then a subsequent generation failure caused a further power outage.
