Over 40 pounds of drugs located during traffic stop

YORK CO. – York County Sheriff deputies located over 40 pounds of drugs during a traffic stop.

According to the York County Sheriff’s office, on Tuesday April 16, a traffic stop was conducted on a Ford F-150 pickup for a traffic violation.

During the stop, the deputy developed probable cause to search the vehicle.

The search revealed 45 pounds of marijuana, one pound of methamphetamine, and one ounce of cocaine.

Deputies arrested the driver, Apolinar Cruz Sanchez and passenger, Elvira Garcia Sanchez, both of Salinas, California.

Both were arrested for possession with the intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, no drug tax stamp, possession of marijuana more than one pound.
