KEARNEY – Tri-City Storm forward Jake Rozzi has been named the USHL’s Forward of the Week for the Opening Round of the 2024 Clark Cup Playoffs. Rozzi’s six points in the opening round of the playoffs were the most recorded by any player in the league. His hat trick in Monday’s first game of the postseason was only the third recorded in a postseason game in Storm history. Rozzi netted three goals and notched three assists for six total points in Tri-City’s opening round playoff victory over the Sioux Falls Stampede.
Jake Rozzi, 20, of Kirkland, Quebec, was acquired by the Storm on October 24th, 2023, in a transaction with the Madison Capitols. Rozzi scored fourteen goals and notched thirty-two assists for forty-six total points in fifty-five games played this season. He has appeared in one hundred and seventy-seven regular season games in his USHL career. Rozzi has scored thirty-seven goals and recorded seventy-five assists for one hundred and twelve total points. He has scored three goals and notched seven assists for ten total points in seventeen career postseason games. Rozzi previously announced a commitment to play collegiate hockey in the future at Ohio State University.

Anytime you score a hat trick it feels amazing, and to tie the game up late was a pretty cool feeling given it’s the playoffs and every game matters so much more. It was disappointing to not be able to get that win on Monday, but we won the next two games so that’s all that matters. I thought we had a good first round, and we got better as the series went on.
