KEARNEY – The Tri-City Storm completed the second and final phase of the 2024 USHL Draft Tuesday evening by making thirteen selections. The Storm drafted four forwards, six defensemen, and three goaltenders in the second phase of the USHL Draft. Tri-City completed the first phase of the 2024 USHL Draft Monday evening by making ten selections in the ten-round draft of 2008-born players. The Storm drafted six forwards, three defensemen, and one goaltender in Monday’s draft. Tri-City has now completed the 2024 USHL Draft with the selections made Tuesday. The Storm made twenty-three total selections (ten forwards, nine defenseman, four goaltenders) in this year’s USHL Draft.
The USHL Draft is comprised of two separate Phases, beginning with Phase I, which consists of ten rounds of “Futures” age players, who will be Under-17 players for the next season. Only players born in 2008 are eligible to be selected in this year’s Phase I Draft. Phase II is open to players of all ages who are eligible to play junior hockey, and who are not currently on the Protected List of a Member Club. The Phase II Draft continues until all Member Clubs have filled their Initial Protected List to a total of forty-five players, including those who were previously protected from the Member Club’s affiliate list.
 
Colby Woogk, 19, Defenseman, from Forth Worth, Texas, was the first player selected by Tri-City in Tuesday’s second phase of the 2024 USHL Draft. Woogk was selected 7th overall by the Storm in the 1st Round, and was one of three defensemen drafted by Tri-City in the opening two rounds of the draft. He netted eighteen goals and recorded twenty-one assists for thirty-nine total points in fifty-seven games played this season with the Minot Minotauros (NAHL, Minot, North Dakota). Woogk just completed his third season with Minot, and has appeared in one hundred and fifty-two NAHL games. He has scored twenty-one career goals and notched thirty-seven assists for fifty-eight total points. Woogk’s eighteen goals scored this season were the most among NAHL defensemen. He also skated for the Dallas Stars Elite (T1EHL, Irving, Texas) AAA program prior to his career with the Minotauros. Woogk is 6’1”, 201 lbs., and is a lefthanded shot. He previously announced a commitment to play collegiate hockey in the future for Western Michigan University.
Ethan Beyer, 20, Defenseman, from Centennial, Colorado, was the second player selected by the Storm during the 1st round of the Phase II Draft. He was drafted 11th overall in the 1st round by Tri-City. Beyer netted seven goals and recorded forty-two assists, for forty-nine total points in sixty-two games played this season for the Brooks Bandits (AJHL/BCHL, Brooks, Alberta). He scored ten goals and notched thirteen assists for twenty-three total points in fifty-five games played for the Bandits during the 2022-2023 season. Beyer skated for Shattuck St. Mary’s (Prep/AAA, Faribault, Minnesota) for three seasons prior to joining Brooks. He also previously played for the Colorado Thunderbirds (AAA, Morrison, Colorado) organization. Beyer was a member of Brooks’ 2022-2023 AJHL Championship team. He is 5’1”, 183 lbs., and is a righthanded shot.
Landon Fandel, 18, Defenseman, from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was the third consecutive defenseman selected by the Storm during Tuesday’s Phase II Draft. Fandel was the 24th overall pick of the 2nd round. He netted twelve goals and notched twelve assists for twenty-four total points in fifty-seven games played this season for the Bismarck Bobcats (NAHL, Bismarck, North Dakota). Fandel also scored two goals and recorded four assists for six total points in forty-two games played with the team during the 2022-2023 season. He previously skated for the Sioux Falls Power (T1EHL/AAA, Sioux Falls Stampede) organization prior to joining the Bobcats. Fandel is 5’10”, 165 lbs., and is a lefthanded shot. He previously announced a commitment to play collegiate hockey in the future for Northern Michigan University.
Kyle Jones, 17, Goaltender, from Bakersfield, California, was the first of three goaltenders selected by Tri-City Tuesday afternoon. He was drafted 93rd overall in the 7th round by the Storm. Jones appeared in forty-seven games this season with the Los Angeles Jr. Kings 16U team (AAA, Los Angeles, California). He recorded a Goals Against Average (GAA) of 2.12, and a Save Percentage (SV%) of .906% this season. Jones went 10-1-1 in thirteen appearances in T1EHL games this season. He appeared in forty-two games last season with the Jr. Kings, and produced a GAA of 1.38, and a SV% of .936%. Jones is 6’2”, 170 lbs., and catches with his left hand. He previously announced a commitment to play collegiate hockey in the future at UMass-Lowell.
Alexei Noskov, 19, Goaltender, from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia, was the Storm’s fifth selection in this year’s edition of the Phase II Draft. Noskov was drafted 99th overall in the 7th round by Tri-City. He played in thirty-seven games this season for Taifun Primorsky Krai (MHL, Vladivostok, Russia). Noskov produced a 6-27-1 record for the team this season. He recorded a Goals Against Average (GAA) of 4.11, and a Save Percentage (SV%) of .898. Noskov went 7-26-2 last season in thirty-nine appearances for Taifun Primorsky Krai. He played in three games for Sakhalinskiye Akuly (MHL, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia) during the 2020-2021 season. Noskov also previously played U18 hockey for Admiral Vladivostok (Vladivostok, Russia). He is 6’2”, 207 lbs., and catches with his left hand.
 
Adam Boatter, 17, Defenseman, from Maple Ridge, British Columbia, was selected one pick after Alexei Noskov as the 100th overall selection of Tuesday’s Phase II Draft. Boatter skated in forty-two games this season with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks (BCHL, Salmon Arm, British Columbia). He scored two goals and recorded nine assists for eleven total points. Boatter played three games for the Silverbacks last season, but spent most of the year with Burnaby Winter Club (CSSHL, Burnaby, British Columbia). He netted four goals and notched twenty-three assists for twenty-seven total points in twenty-nine games played last season with the team. Boatter is 5’11”, 157 lbs., and is a righthanded shot. He previously announced a commitment to play collegiate hockey in the future for Colorado College.
Chase Pirtle, 19, Forward, from Far Hills, New Jersey, was drafted 114th overall in the 8th round of Tuesday’s draft by Tri-City. He was also selected 223rd overall in the 15th round of last year’s Phase I draft by the Storm, and was previously selected 16th overall in the 2nd round of the 2021 USHL Phase I Draft by the Youngstown Phantoms. Pirtle made his USHL debut on September 24th, 2021, in the Phantom’s 2-0 loss to the Waterloo Black Hawks at the 2021 DICK’S Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic. He scored twenty-five goals and recorded twenty-seven assists for fifty-two total points in fifty-four games played this season for the Victoria Grizzlies (BCHL, Victoria, British Columbia). Pirtle previously played for Mount St. Charles Academy (AAA, Woonsocket, Rhode Island), New Jersey Rockets (AAA, Bridgewater, New Jersey), and North Jersey Avalanche (AAA, Hackensack, New Jersey) programs. He is 6’2”, 185 lbs., and is a righthanded shot. Pirtle previously announced a commitment to play collegiate hockey in the future for Cornell University.
Sebastian Gatto, 18, Goaltender, from Troy, Michigan, was the third and final netminder drafted by Tri-City in the Phase II draft. Gatto was selected 129th overall in the 9th round of Tuesday’s draft. He produced a 17-9-2 record in thirty games played this season for the Leamington Flyers (OJHL, Leamington, Ontario). Gatto was selected 90th overall in the 6th round of the 2022 USHL Phase I Draft by the Muskegon Lumberjacks. He appeared in three games for Muskegon during the 2022-2023 season. Gatto made his USHL debut on March 28th, 2023, in Muskegon’s 10-1 road loss to the United States National Team Development Program (USNTDP/Team USA). He played for the Honeybaked youth organization (AAA, Farmington Hills, Michigan) prior to his time in the USHL. Gatto is 6’3”, 185 lbs., and catches with his left hand. He was ranked 16th overall among North American goalies by NHL Central Scouting for the 2024 NHL Draft in the bureau’s Final Rankings.
Jack Broderick, 16, Forward, from Rye, New York, was selected 144th overall in the 10th round by the Storm in Tuesday’s Phase II Draft. He scored fifty-four goals and notched sixty-seven assists for one hundred and twenty-one total points in seventy games played this season for the Westchester Express (AAA, Brewster, New York). He Captained the 16U squad this season. Broderick also scored fifty-three goals, recorded forty-one assists, and notched ninety-four total points for the 15U team last season. He is 5’11”, 170 lbs., and is a lefthanded shot.
Andrei Malyavin, 20, Defenseman, from Voronezh, Russia, was drafted 159th overall by Tri-City in the 11th round of the Phase II Draft. Malyavin scored one goal and recorded nineteen assists for twenty total points in sixty-three games played this season for the Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL, Brandon, Manitoba). He scored six goals and notched twenty-one assists for twenty-seven total points during the 2022-2023 season. Malyavin appeared in forty-four games during the 2021-2022 season with the Sarnia Sting (OHL, Sarnia, Ontario). He scored two goals and recorded eleven assists for thirteen total points. Malyavin skated in eleven games with Loko Yaroslavl (MHL, Yaroslavl, Russia) during the 2020-2021 season. He is 5’10”, 187 lbs., and is a lefthanded shot.
Luke Drury, 18, Forward, from Rye, New York, was one of two players selected by the Storm during the 12th round of Tuesday’s draft. Drury was drafted 174th overall, and was the penultimate forward selected by Tri-City in the Phase II Draft. He scored thirteen goals and recorded twenty-one assists for thirty-four total points in thirty-two games played this season for the Brunswick School (Prep, Greenwich, Connecticut). Drury also scored seven goals and notched thirteen assists for twenty total points in twenty-eight games played last season. He is 5’8”, 174 lbs., and a lefthanded shot. Drury previously announced a commitment to play collegiate hockey in the future for Brown University.
 
Cameron Kovary, 15, Forward, from Greenwich, Connecticut, was the final forward selected by Tri-City in this year’s edition of the USHL Draft. Kovary was drafted 175th overall in the 12th round. He scored twelve goals and recorded twenty-five assists for thirty-seven total points in sixty-six games played this season for Little Caesars’ (AAA, Detroit, Michigan) 15U team this season. Kovary was the only 2008-born player drafted by Tri-City on the second day of the USHL Draft. He is 6’0”, 165 lbs., and is a righthanded shot.
Jack Hamilton, Defenseman, from Powell, Ohio, was Tri-City’s final selection in the 2024 USHL Draft. Hamilton was drafted 189th overall in the 13th round by the Storm. He scored six goals and recorded one assist for seven total points in eight games played this season with the Columbus Mavericks (USPHL, Columbus, Ohio). He played last season for the Ohio Blue Jackets 16U team (AAA, Dublin, Ohio). Hamilton played for Culver Military Academy’s (AAA, Culver, Indiana) the previous two seasons. He was also previously selected 45th overall in the 3rd round of the 2022 USHL Phase I Draft by the Omaha Lancers. Hamilton is 6’5”, 194 lbs., and is a lefthanded shot.

The Tri-City Storm completed the first phase of the 2024 USHL Draft Monday evening by making ten selections in the ten-round draft of 2008-born players. The Storm drafted six forwards, three defensemen, and one goaltender in Monday’s first phase of the 2024 USHL Draft.
 
Ilya Morozov, 15, Forward, from Moskva, Russia, signed a tender agreement for the 2024-2025 season on December 14th, 2023. The signing replaced Tri-City’s 1st Round draft selection in Monday’s Phase I Draft. Morozov skated in forty-nine games this season with the Windy City Storm. He netted thirty-three goals and notched forty-one assists for seventy-four total points. Morozov previously skated for Orbita Zelenograd in Zelenograd, Russia before beginning his career in North America. Morozov scored five goals and recorded three assists for eight total points for Team Moskva U15 in the 2022-2023 Federal Districts Cup. He also scored four goals and recorded five assists for nine total points in the 2021-2022 edition of the event for Moskva’s U14 team. Morozov is 6’1″, 154 lbs., and is a lefthanded shot.
Levi Harper, 15, Defenseman, from Tampa, Florida, was the Storm’s first selection in Monday’s Phase I Draft. Harper was selected 22nd overall in the 2nd round by Tri-City. He scored nine goals and recorded twenty-three points for thirty-two total points in fifty-six games played this season for the Shattuck St. Mary’s Sabres 15U team (AAA, Faribault, Minnesota). Harper scored two goals and notched twenty-one assists for twenty-three total points in forty-two games played last season for Shattuck St. Mary’s 14U squad. He is the younger brother of current Storm defenseman Brandt Harper. He is 5’9”, 143 lbs., and is a righthanded shot.
Will Bent, 16, Forward, from Dover, Massachusetts, was Tri-City’s next selection in Monday’s draft. Bent was drafted 37th overall in the 3rd round, and was the first forward selected by the Storm. He scored fifty-one goals and recorded forty-two assists for ninety-three total points in fifty-eight games played this season for Mount St. Charles Academy’s 15U team (AAA, Woonsocket, Rhode Island). Bent also netted thirty-seven goals and notched thirty-eight assists for seventy-five total points in fifty-two games played last season for the 14U team at Mount St. Charles. He previously skated for the Boston Jr. Eagles program (AAA, Wellesley, Massachusetts) before his time with Mount St. Charles. Bent is 6’1”, 190 lbs., and is a righthanded shot.
Ben MacBeath, 16, Defenseman, from Calgary, Alberta, was the second defenseman drafted by the Storm in Monday’s Phase I Draft. He was selected 39th overall in the 3rd round. MacBeath scored six goals and notched twenty-three assists for twenty-nine total points in twenty-six games played this season for the Edge School Mountaineers U18 team (Prep, Calgary, Alberta). MacBeath scored seven goals and recorded thirty-six assists for forty-three total points in twenty-eight games played last season for Yale Hockey Academy’s 15U squad (Prep, Abbotsford, British Columbia). He is 6’0”, 170 lbs., and is a lefthanded shot.
Trevor Theuer, 16, Forward, from Clarkston, Michigan, was selected 41st overall in the 3rd round of the 2024 USHL Phase I Draft by the Storm. Theuer was the third player selected by the Storm during Monday’s 3rd round. He scored twenty-four goals and recorded forty-five assists for sixty-nine total points in fifty-six games played this season for the Honeybaked 15U program (AAA, Farmington Hills, Michigan). Theuer also previously skated for the 14U and 13U Honeybaked teams. He is 5’10”, 172 lbs., and is a lefthanded shot.
Ryder Fetterolf, 16, Goaltender, from Sewickley, Pennsylvania, was the only netminder selected by Tri-City in Monday’s Phase I Draft. Fetterolf was selected 52nd overall in the 4th round. Fetterolf appeared in forty-one games this season in goal for Gilmour Academy (Prep, Gates Mills, Ohio). He recorded a GAA (Goals Against Average) of 2.63, and a Save Percentage (SV%) of .915%. Fetterolf previously played for the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 13U team (AAA, Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania). He is 6’0”, 165lbs., and catches with his left hand.
Matthew Krayer, 15, Forward, from Concord, Massachusetts, was the next forward selected by the Storm in the Phase I Draft. He was drafted 67th overall in the 5th round during Monday’s draft. Matthew is the younger brother of Dylan Krayer, who was selected 145th overall by the Storm in the 10th round of the 2023 USHL Phase I Draft, and skated in two games with the team this season as an affiliate list callup. Matthew scored thirty-two goals and notched forty-seven assists for seventy-nine total points in fifty-six games played this season for Mount St. Charles Academy’s 15U team (AAA, Woonsocket, Rhode Island). He also scored twenty-nine goals and recorded thirty-four assists for sixty-three total points in fifty-seven games played for the team last season. Krayer previously skated for the Middlesex Islanders’ 13U program (AAA, Tyngsborough, Massachusetts). He is 5’9”, 160 lbs., and is a lefthanded shot.
Jackson Strukel, 15, Defenseman, from Duluth, Minnesota, was drafted 82nd overall in the 6th round by Tri-City, and was the final defenseman selected by the Storm in the first Phase of the 2024 USHL Draft. Strukel netted eleven goals and recorded twenty-four assists for thirty-five total points in twenty-eight games played this season for Hibbing/Chisholm High School (HS, Hibbing, Minnesota). Strukel scored twenty-seven goals and notched thirty-six assists for sixty-three total points in forty-eight games played last season for the Hibbing-Chisholm Bantam program (A, Hibbing, Minnesota).  He is 5’9”, 16l lbs., and is a lefthanded shot.
Tri-City executed a trade with the Green Bay Gamblers during the 7th round of Monday’s Phase I Draft. The Storm traded the 97th overall pick in the 2024 USHL Phase I Draft to the Gamblers in exchange for the 100th & 132nd overall picks in the 2024 USHL Phase I Draft.
Hunter Rudolph, 16, Forward, from West Fargo, North Dakota, was selected 100th overall by the Storm in the 7th round of the Phase I Draft following Tri-City’s mid-draft transaction with Green Bay. Rudolph netted twenty-seven goals and notched thirty assists for fifty-seven total points in fifty-one total games played this season for NorthStar Christian Academy’s 16U team (AAA, Alexandria, Minnesota). He also previously skated for Team North Dakota and MN North Dakota AAA programs. Rudolph is 5’7’’, 130 lbs, and is a lefthanded shot.
Jake Gustafson, 16, Forward, from San Jose, California, was the Storm’s penultimate pick of the 2024 USHL Phase I Draft. Gustafson was selected 112th overall in the 8th round by Tri-City, and was the ninth selection made by the Storm in Monday’s draft. He scored thirty-four goals and recorded twenty-nine assists for sixty-three total points in forty-three games played this season for the San Jose Jr. Sharks 15U program (AAA, San Jose California). Gustafson scored twenty-eight goals and notched twenty-three assists for fifty-one total points in thirty-six games played during the 2022-2023 season for the Jr. Sharks’ 14U program. He is 6’2”, 161 lbs., and is a righthanded shot.
Nolan Duskocy, 16, Forward, from Ellington, Connecticut, was Tri-City’s final selection in the first phase of this year’s USHL Draft. He was drafted 132nd overall in the 9th round by the Storm. Duskocy scored twenty-seven goals and notched thirty-four assists for sixty-one total points in sixty-two games played this season with Bishop Kearney Selects’ 15U squad (AAA, Rochester, New York). He also netted thirty-nine goals and recorded thirty-six assists for seventy-five total points in seventy-four games played during the 2022-2023 season for Bishop Kearney’s 14U team. Duskocy is 6’1”, 165 lbs., and is a righthanded shot.
