CLASS A WRAPS STATE SOCCER QUARTERFINALS; CLASS B GIRLS BEGIN:
State Soccer championships wrapped for all Class A competitions on Tuesday, with Class B Girls beginning their action today.
The rest of the Class A Girls quarterfinals were pushed to this morning, with Lincoln Southwest taking down Millard West 2-0, and Lincoln East passing Gretna 2-1.
The Class A Boys field has begun with Creighton Prep blowing past Elkhorn South 5-2, Papillion-LaVista South taking down Omaha Westside, top-rated Lincoln Southwest breezing past Columbus, and Omaha South outlasting Gretna.
Tonight, the Northwest girls take on Bennington with kickoff set for 7:30 PM to wrap up the Class B Girls Quarterfinals.

HUSKER BASEBALL SET FOR MIDWEEK BATTLE WITH SOUTH DAKOTA STATE:
Nebraska Baseball gears up for another midweek matchup, welcoming South Dakota State to Haymarket Park.
Jackson Brockett makes his return to the mound after throwing a no-hitter a week ago against Kansas State.
The Jackrabbits visited Lincoln last season and came away with an 8-3 win over the Big Red in a midweek tilt on April 26.

BIG TEN WOMEN’S BASKETBALL HOME AND AWAY MATCHUPS ANNOUNCED:
The Nebraska women’s basketball team learned its conference home and away games for the first Big Ten season featuring 18 teams.
The Huskers, who advanced to the second round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament after running to an appearance in the Big Ten Tournament Championship Game, will face Big Ten Tournament champion and NCAA runner-up Iowa both home and away in 2024-25.
Nebraska’s eight other home games at Pinnacle Bank Arena will include Big Ten newcomers Oregon and Washington, along with 2024 NCAA Tournament qualifiers Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State. Postseason qualifiers Minnesota, Penn State and Wisconsin will also travel to Lincoln to battle the Big Red.
In addition to colliding with the Hawkeyes in Iowa City, Nebraska will make a trip to Big Ten newcomers USC and UCLA in Los Angeles, while also battling 2024 NCAA Tournament teams Indiana and Maryland and inaugural WBIT Champion Illinois on the road, along with Purdue, Northwestern and Rutgers.
STORM WRAP UP USHL DRAFT:
The Tri-City Storm completed the second and final phase of the 2024 USHL Draft Tuesday evening by making thirteen selections.
The Storm drafted four forwards, six defensemen, and three goaltenders in the second phase of the USHL Draft.
The Storm drafted six forwards, three defensemen, and one goaltender in Monday’s Phase I draft.
The Storm made twenty-three total selections (ten forwards, nine defenseman, four goaltenders) in this year’s USHL Draft.
