ST. LIBORY — Weather permitting, work will begin May 13 on US-281, from reference post 78+36 to reference post 84+50, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Vontz Paving, Inc. of Hastings is the prime contractor for this project. Work includes reconstruction of the raised median, pavement repair, milling, asphalt overlay, grading and lighting.
Traffic will be maintained with intermittent lane closures. A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is Dec. 2024.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
