KEARNEY — The City of Kearney Utilities Department announces the outside northbound lane of 2nd Avenue will be closed from the north side of 37th Street to the north side of 38th Street, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2024, for water repair work.
The roadway is anticipated to be fully open by 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024, construction and weather permitting. Those accessing the businesses along the east side of 2nd Avenue, between 37th Street and 39th Street should use caution.
Motorists are asked to use caution in the area and to watch for construction workers and equipment. If an alternate route is possible, we recommend that motorists use the alternate route.
