HASTINGS — Survey teams with the National Weather Service – Hastings will hit the road to survey areas in three central Nebraska counties to look for evidence of tornado tracks that possibly occurred the evening of Thursday, May 23.
The survey teams will look at possible tracks near Holdrege in Phelps County, near Heartwell from Kearney County into Adams County and a track south of Hastings, along the Adams, Webster County line.
Those with pictures of storm damage and encouraged to share them with the NWS Hastings through Facebook, X, formerly known as Twitter or by email – nws.hastings@noaa.gov.
Multiple tornadoes touched down in western Nebraska including one that damaged property around Lake McConaughy and another near Paxton.
Additionally, straight line winds caused tree damage throughout the Hastings community in the overnight hours.
