KEARNEY — A celebration for the Kearney Catholic High School girls’ team who earned the Class C State Track and Field championship will be held at the World Theatre on Sunday, June 2.
Overall, the Stars had 16 participants at state track, nine medalists, two state records were set, five earned all class golds and the girls came away as the Class C State Champions and All-Class State Champions.
There will be a 6-7 p.m. social hour and recognitions at the World Theatre, followed by a 7-9 p.m. showing of “Big Hero 6.”
The event is free to attend, and family and members of the community are welcome to attend. Concessions will be available and there will be free Stars Stadium merchandise.
