Gretna’s Isaiah Weber scored two touchdowns to push the South squad over the North in Saturday’s 66th Annual Nebraska Shrine Bowl game from UNK’s Ron & Carol Cope Stadium.

The former Dragon scored the opening touchdown on a two-yard run, then tallied the final score on a double-reverse pass from Lincoln Southeast’s Owen Baxter in the fourth quarter. Weber would claim the game’s MVP honor for his efforts.

Kearney High’s Zander Reuling contributed to the win with a catch for 31 yards, while Kearney Catholic’s Garrett O’Hare added a quarterback hurry on defense. The Bearcats Beau Buchanon was a member of the South’s offensive line.

Grand Island’s Reid Kelly had two tackles in the contest. Northwest’s Joseph Stein added a catch for five yards, while his teammate Chase Wiegert added a 51 yard reception.

Hastings St. Cecilia’s Dawson Kissinger had an interception in the contest.
