AXTELL – The 2024 New West All-Star Classic rosters, teams, and matchups have been announced for their all-star matchups next week at Axtell Schools.
On Wednesday, June 12 the All-Star Volleyball matchups feature the Southwest Conference battling the Lou Platte Conference in the main gym, while the practice gym will pit the Fort Kearny Conference and Republican Plains Activities Conference. Both matches begin at 5 PM.
Thursday, June 13 features the All-Star Basketball contests with the girls contests to begin the night at 5 PM, as the Southwest Conference faces the Lou Platte all-stars in the main gym and the Fort Kearny Conference matching up with the RPAC in the practice gym. The boys contests will follow in the respective areas following each contest.
Coaches representing each conference include: the Southwest conference’s Taylor Maulsby (Minden Girls Basketball), Jake Nelson (Ainsworth Boys Basketball) and Carson Blum (Minden Boys Basketball, and Bryson Mahlberg and Becky Costello (Gothenburg Volleyball); the Lou Platte conference’s Laethion Brown (Centura Girls Basketball), Kelan Buhr (Doniphan-Trumbull Boys Basketball) and BJ Blase (Central City Boys Basketball), and Skye Griess (Arcadia-Loup City Volleyball) and Heather Negus (Central City Volleyball); the Fort Kearny Conference’s Janessa Bergman (Overton Girls Basketball), Matt Drew (Ansley-Litchfield Boys Basketball) and Darby Line (SEM Boys Basketball), and Hayley Ryan (Overton Volleyball); finally, the RPAC’s Richard McDonald (Southern Valley Girls Basketball) and Chance Morland (Paxton Girls Basketball), Kolby Hamilton (Maywood-Hayes Center Boys Basketball) and Clayton Shephard (Cambridge Boys Basketball) and Krystal Sauser (Wallace Volleyball) and Lisa Mitchell (Paxton Volleyball).
