Jamie Karl, (Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce)
GRAND ISLAND — Jamie Karl has informed the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce board of directors that he will be stepping down as president of the organization.
Karl’s resignation is effective July 5, 2024.
The board has accepted Karl’s resignation and thanked him for his work since early February as the Chamber works to transition after nearly 21 years under former President Cindy Johnson.
Over the coming weeks, the Chamber board will work to find Karl’s replacement.
Karl was appointed as president in February 2024.
A University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduate and sixth-generation Nebraska native, Karl has spent the last five years at the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association, serving as director of communications and marketing in the nation’s third-largest manufacturing state.
