KEARNEY — City of Kearney’s Sanitation Division announces that due to the upcoming Juneteenth Holiday on Wednesday, June 19,2024, the following changes will be in effect for the refuse collection system and the Kearney Area Solid Waste Agency Landfill:
Residential Collection:
• Recycling collection will remain on schedule.
• Trash collection for Monday and Tuesday will remain the as scheduled. Wednesday and
Thursday’s Trash collection will be delayed one day, except Friday’s collection will remain
on schedule.
• Yard waste collection for Tuesday will remain as scheduled. Wednesday and Thursday will be delayed one day except Friday’s collection will remain as scheduled.
**Please have your container at the curb by 7:00 a.m. for collection.
Commercial Collection:
• Trash collection scheduled for Wednesday, June 19 will be collected on Tuesday or
Thursday.
• Commercial Recycling collection scheduled for Friday, June 22 will be collected on
Saturday.
Closings:
• The Kearney Area Recycling Center will be closed on Wednesday, June 19.
• The Solid Waste Agency Landfill, including the Yard Waste and Tree Site, will be closed on and Wednesday June 19.
